I sent this out through my contacts to differerent people who are my age or younger (because younger audience is more inclined to consume technology compared to other age groups.)

Research Questions

Potential research questions: 1. What is the most effective writing tool? 2. Should technology have a predominant role in the classroom? 3. Does technology usage have an impact on students' mental health? For Question #1: - I asked my friend, Aya. She found this question to be very interesting, and something that we should definitely do further research on because especially now, there are a wide range of writing tools that student use. It'd be thought-provoking to see which one is best preferred for learning purposes. - I asked my other friend, Malak. She thought this question was interesting, too, but that it's too simple. She said I might want to expand on it to make the research more complex and multi-layered. - I asked my sister. She thought that this was a good question, but she suggested looking into differet age groups within this topic, because it might have different results. For Question #2: - I asked my friend, Malak again. She liked this question ...

Unit 1 Reflection

In the Unit 1 Portfolio, I completed a source analysis on an article in the New York Times about a pencil shop in lower Manhattan, and three other sources of my choice that were related to my research topic. For these three sources, two of them focused on scientific studies or research regarding the effectiveness of learning when using different writing tools, whether this is handwriting, typing, or with a digital pen. My other source was an article about the benefits and drawbacks of using technology in a learning environment. I wanted to use this source specifically because I wanted to hear both sides of the argument, and I thought I could potentially use certain information in my refuting paragraph. Because of this, I feel confident in the choices I made for my sources, I believe that each one will provide for me very useful and effective information. Additionally, I made sure that the website I was getting research from was reliable, so I checked for certain key things, like ...

U1: Surveys/Polls/Quizzes

https://psychcentral.com/quizzes/personality-quiz#7 To begin, for this assignment I chose an online survey from a website named PsychCentral. The purpose of this quiz was to analyze the type of personality you have based mainly off of your body language and some behaviors. They asked things like where your hands are located when your friends are talking to you, how your legs are seated when you're relaxed, and how you act at social gatherings. When I took this test, I was surprised to see that I got results that said I was the "Lively Center of Attention," which stated that I was constantly the center of attention, and an always lively, amusing and interesting person. Although I associate some of these character traits to myself, I think I am definitely more of a relaxed, laid back person in a social setting. Another thing that was really interesting to me was when I made my siblings take this test. My sister, who is more of a "center of attention" person, got...
